Mana

Mana-sensei has everything you want in an Japanese teacher. She's really good at defining Japanese words, in Japanese, without stitching to English. She always understands my struggling sentences and offers the more natural way of saying the same thing. Most of all she is very pleasant, and always fun to talk to. Definitely one of my favorite teachers. Period.

We started reading "Spy x Family", and even though some words were difficult (spy words and such), it was still easy for me to follow and come to understand with the help of Mana-sensei! She gave time and space to try to figure out what some words meant by looking at the kanji, and I felt confortable trying to define words with words I already knew. Mana-sensei also wrote the words and definition or English translations in the chat box as we were reading, so it's super useful to go over it again, and review what we read together on my own. I'm looking forward to reading more in the future! If you're looking to practice your reading, I highly recommend Mana-sensei!

Best japanese teacher ever!

Mana is such a great teacher, polite and positive, she is also very knowledgable. Mana is really kind and I always feel at ease talking to her. Even if I am nervous about speaking Japanese at first, I feel like I can loosen up and talk freely in her lesson. She is also very effective at teaching me lots of new words. Her interest and knowledge of the Japanese language and culture is considerable. She is someone who truly enjoys languages, writing, researching and learning. Mana edited a text I had written in Japanese, and her feedback was incredibly thoughtful and thorough. I highly recommend her to others, both for beginners and for intermediate students looking to get a deeper understanding of Japanese.

Another great hour reading Spy x Family! It feels like I'm starting to remember words better now too.
