Hey there! My name is Yohei. ✨
(My name is pronounced just like when you say “Yo!" and "Hey!” to get someone’s attention! lol)
I moved to Vancouver from Nagoya, Japan about 5 months ago, and am really loving it here so far! 🇨🇦
I always keep in mind and do my best to give lessons which are not only informative, but are also tons of fun to take part in.
I promise to offer entertaining classes filled with laughter so that learning a new language is as hassle-free of an experience as possible!

・I am a licensed Japanese-language teacher, with years of practical work-experience as an Japanese teacher in Japanese kinder garden in Canada.
・I have a TOEIC score of 830; This makes it easy for me to explain concepts in multiple different ways, ensuring that you will be able to clearly understand each lesson.我的課程內容與教學風格
・My lessons focus on daily-conversation skills, so that everything you learn is as useful as possible in everyday-life situations in Japan.
・I don't only use textbooks, but instead try to supplement learning with other interesting materials such as anime, comics, etc., to ensure that each lesson will be much more fun.
My motto is "A class filled with joy and laughter". 😉

日本語の基礎から日常会話までを体系的に教えられるようになることを目的とし、英語を媒介語とした間接教授法と日本語だけで教える直接教授法の2つの教授法を学習。本講座では日本語を外国人の目で分析し、帰納的にルールを導く。日本語を客観的に見ることにより日本語の構造が非常にわかりやすくなり、すぐにでも教えられる効果的な教授テクニックを習得。

Japanese TeacherJECでは幼稚園から高校生までの生徒を対象に日本語を教えています。授業形態は対面授業、オンライン、プライベート、グループクラスなど様々です。
幼稚園クラス：ひらがな、カタカナ、挨拶や簡単な日本語の会話
小学生クラス：基礎的な漢字や文法、発音の練習
高校生クラス：漢検や日本語能力テスト対策など
アダルトクラス：N5〜N1の生徒を対象に日本語能力テスト講座
週に６日勤務しており、それぞれの生徒の日本語レベルや学習目的に合わせて授業を実施しています。
I teach Japanese to students from kindergarten to high school.
There are various types of lessons such as face-to-face lessons, online, private, and group classes. I work 6 days a week and offer classes according to each student's Japanese level and learning objective.

Yohei is legit one of the coolest tutors I've had. He's super attentive and our conversations flow super well. He helps me expand my Japanese ability while also giving me time to make mistakes and learn from them. He's patient and funny and gives amazing recommendations for books, movies, and shows.

I had a great first lesson with Yohei Sensei! I'm currently taking his survival Japanese course to prepare for an upcoming trip to Japan, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I feel that the mixture of materials and exercises he used in his class were very helpful, including practicing speaking, listening, and learning cultural points along the way. He's a teacher who knows how to teach and keeps you engaged, so I feel his lesson was money well spent.

Right off the bat, Yohei's super fun and easy to talk to. He adjusts the conversation to your interests, as well as speaking and listening comprehension abilities, while also sprinkling in new words or grammar nuggets (and corrections) with moments that make you laugh. I've only had a few lessons so far, but I look forward to the future ones!
