Greetings, I am Kei, a 39-year-old professional Japanese language instructor currently employed full-time at a language center in Japan. With over 9 years of teaching experience. I have experience teaching in person as a head teacher at government-accredited educational institutions in Myanmar and Vietnam. As a freelancer, I have also taught Japanese online to students from the United States, Europe, South America, and Oceania. In total, I have taught over 3,000 students. My expertise spans all proficiency levels, from complete beginners (N5) to advanced learners (N1). I specialize in conversational Japanese, grammar, vocabulary, and JLPT preparation, utilizing original teaching materials.

専任教員ベトナムの民間日本語学校Saigon Language Schoolで専任教員として2年間日本語を教えました。
学生のレベルは初級から上級まで、全てのクラスを担当しました。
授業は全て日本語だけを使って教える直接法で文法導入から会話練習まで日本の日本語学校と同じやり方で授業を行いました。
また、JLPT対策コースにてN4～N2クラスも担当しました。
2019 - 2024
教務主任ヤンゴンにある実習生送り出し機関にて教務主任をしておりました。
カリキュラムとテストの作成、授業は主に会話を担当しました。
実習生は日本で働くためにJLPTかNATテストのN4合格が義務付けられていたので、試験対策のためのクラスで聴解、読解も教えました。
また、実習先の企業からの要望で最も多かったのが日本で働き、生活するうえで困らない会話力を身につけさせるというものでしたので、教科書を学ぶだけではできない会話力向上のための授業も行いました。

We started to review the JLPT N3 related vocabularies using the book recommended by Sensei. The homework is helping me a lot to remember the vocabularies. I will try to use it in conversation too.

As usual excellent! Kei Sensei is next level. I am not learning just plain old text book stuff. He teaches me how to speak with locals , which is extremely important.

Kei 先生、今までありがとうございました! I've been taking sensei's lessons for about two years and spoke a lot with him about work, my country and my goals for the language. He is very casual and easy to talk to. Through his guidance, I managed to pass N1 in 2025. Having access to more questions than my own self study increased exposure to patterns. The exam felt much manageable than when I took it for the first time in 2024 (and failed). Sensei was also very encouraging and patient even though I had no confidence.
Nevertheless, he is able to teach many types of common phrases (expressions), how to give advice to others (discussions), a lot of JLPT questions (exam prep) and of course speaking/conversation.
I'm greatful for the learnings i've had with sensei 😊 thank you and all the best to his students!!

Trying to construct sentences using the grammars that we studied is still challenging for me but it's a good practice to memorize and make it useful. Thank you for Sensei's support and patience.
