My name is Julie and I am 36 years old living in the United States of America.
I enjoy traveling, playing video games and cooking. I lived in Japan for 5 years, and during that time I traveled to Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and China. I also traveled all over Japan to places such as Okinawa, Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, Nagoya, Takayama, Shirakawago and many many more.
I love learning how to cook dishes from all over the world and I sometimes took cooking classes at the places I visited. I cook almost every day!我的教學經歷
I spent 5 years teaching English in public middle schools within Japan. After my day job, I would tutor Japanese adults in TOEFL prep, "eikaiwa" (English conversation) or business English. I also have experience tutoring children ages 5 to 12 within Japan and Italki. We often use flashcards to learn, and sometimes even games. In 2020 I received my TEFL certificate after taking an online course. I wanted to have a certificate to go with my experience!
I believe that patience is very important when it comes to learning a language. I am patient with students, and can adapt the lesson around their needs.我的課程內容與教學風格
I believe having fun and having lots of practice is the best way to learn a language! I like to focus on why the student wants to learn English, and will build my lessons around that reason! I like to make my own worksheets or find ones online that focus on grammar, spelling or sentence making.
*NOTE* All lessons must be booked through Italki. I will not arrange lessons or payments outside of the Italki website. I will not download any additional classroom programs or learning tools. Thank you for understanding!我的教材

Teaching Style: Julie’s teaching style is both interactive and encouraging. Each lesson is thoughtfully structured, yet flexible enough to adapt to my learning pace. She always takes the time to explain things clearly and makes sure I fully understand the material before moving on.
