I’m a native Chinese speaker from Malaysia. During university, I began tutoring non-Chinese friends, which led me to become an online Mandarin teacher.
I’ve been teaching adult learners online for over 4 years. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) and doing my internship at a university language institute, where I teach non-Chinese staff practical Mandarin for work.
Having studied in China and worked in Singapore, I’m familiar with both mainland Chinese usage and Malaysian/Singaporean Chinese expressions and culture.我的教學經歷
I specialize in teaching adult beginners and elementary learners. Before my master’s program, I developed my Mandarin teaching skills through hands-on experience. Now, my academic training exposed me to multiple teaching approaches for different learner needs.
My academic training introduced me to multiple teaching approaches for different learner needs, and I actively participate in teaching competitions and professional exchanges to refine my skills.
During my university internship, I teach non-Chinese administrative staff functional Mandarin for workplace communication. This experience has strengthened my ability to teach practical, goal-oriented Chinese clearly and efficiently. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons are fully customized to your goals. I carefully track your progress, especially pronunciation, tones, and commonly confused characters, and design targeted practice to help you truly master them. Each lesson includes structured review, so even busy learners can make steady progress without stress.
All lesson materials are shared with you, so you can focus on learning instead of note-taking. I specialize in guiding beginners, helping you build accurate pronunciation from scratch through listening-based training and teaching you how to recognize Chinese characters logically.
