Irais

Irais is very patient with me and offers explanations.

I booked a 30-minute conversational lesson, and Irais was very friendly and easy to talk to. She gave me some helpful pointers on how to phrase things and improve my grammar. Thank you for the lovely lesson!

I enjoy my time with Irais. She is easy to talk to and comes to class prepared as well as plans ahead for the next lesson. I would highly recommend her.

Irais is friendly and can be a wonderful teacher for someone looking to learn using the immersion style. Unfortunately, this method is not best suited for me. At the outset of our class she spoke to me in Spanish asking a number of questions in Spanish to ascertain if I was conversational and learn how much I knew. Personally, I prefer to just be asked that from the start. We went over some course material that she provided and read and gave explanation of. At the end she had me read it back to her. The material was aimed at allowing you to introduce yourself to others and answer basic conversational questions. Personally, I did not like the over pronunciation and manner with which i was thrown in because it felt overwhelming and hypocritical in that she is not perfect in English yet critiquing Spanish at the onset. At the conclusion she said I HAVE to learn grammar, number, basic questions, etc. I knew that already. Overall, didn't like paying to be made to feel bad at the start.
