Hi, my name is Sibusisiwe. I have a keen interest in English as a medium of instruction. I hold a Professional Degree, in Law. I am also TEFL certified to teach English as a Second Language. I am fluent and advanced in more than one South African language, therefore I understand the learning process and the key development methods that assist learning and retention of a new language and vocabulary. I have a bubbly and easy-going personality however I am mindful of shy students and I am sure not to overwhelm them. I am a very involved, passionate, and very caring teacher. I am extremely observant and thus will tailor the session to the needs and the level of the student. I specialize in conversation practice, thus I bring interesting topics for each lesson to discuss and explore opinions. Topics range from Travel and Food to Politics and Marketing. These are purely dependant on the student's interests and English level. I am always eager to get to know the student and their culture, so as to curate relatable lessons that are close to home. I will help you reach your desired goals and potential by carefully guiding, supporting, and being very patient.

Discussion. To ensure active engagement with the student in the learning process. Students have opportunities to ask questions and communicate their ideas while practicing English. Demonstrations. Teaching by showing visuals that are interesting and relevant. Mind mapping can be very useful in studying as it assists with associations of categories alike. Case Studies. When I feel the knowledge imparted is adequate, promote problem-solving through case studies or comprehensions can be helpful for the student to navigate the topic/ subject. Games. Sometimes breaking the ice is what's needed to help the student feel comfortable in interacting and being open to learning new concepts.
