Highly recommend working with Ale! She’s both a skilled teacher and a dynamic conversation partner. Every class, we chat about something new and she calmly corrects my (many) errors along the way. This has helped me retain tons of vocabulary and improve my grammar intuitively. For more difficult concepts… como el subjuntivo… Ale proactively shares more structured learning materials and gently challenges me to incorporate what I learn into our conversations, step by step. When I started 6 months ago, 30-minutes of conversation in Spanish felt really daunting, and now I find myself looking forward to it each week. That’s what I was hoping for when I joined italki, and I feel lucky to have found such a great teacher to help me get there.

Ale and I have great conversations discussing a myriad of topics. She has helped me to understand the Mexican culture and its nuances. She has taught me local idioms to help me blend in on trips that I take to Mexico. Ale is very patient and insightful, helping me navigate through grammatical minefields and to understand why Spanish is phrased the way it is in many circumstances. She provides great learning tools and various activities. I highly recommend Ale as a great teacher to beginners as well as to advanced students.

Ale’s energy is really fun so it is easy to learn from her. I enjoyed my trial lesson and will continue to work with her.

Ale is always good to talk to! She is very positive, encouraging and kind, and is a very good conversationalist. I find that I always have things I want to say, even though I am usually a quiet person, but this is what I want and need in a language lesson. Ale provides support and help when I need it, but always encourages me to think of how to say what I want to say. I have really enjoyed my lessons with Ale, and I know she is helping me to improve in my ability to communicate in Spanish! Ale is a very good teacher!

I have been taking classes with Ale for almost a year now and I have no plans to stop! She is so fun and her classes are engaging with lots of opportunities to practice the skills that help you to sound natural in conversation. I look forward to my lessons every week, plus my Spanish language abilities are growing thanks to Ale. I can't recommend her enough!
