Hello! My name is Marisse. You can call me Riza. I was born in the Philippines and currently living in Japan. I am a full-time ALT in an Elementary school and working as an online teacher in Italki. I have also worked in Thailand from 2017 to 2020 where I was also an English teacher. I have been teaching English for almost 7 years and I still enjoy it because it is one of the things I love to do.
My hobby is watching movies, traveling and cooking. I love meeting people and knowing about the experiences they share. How about you? Tell me about yourself in my class. See you!我的教學經歷
As a teacher, I really care about my students. I always make sure that they learn and enjoy the class at the same time. I am very attentive and make sure to point out the mistakes that need to be improved. I am also patient, kind, and always have a big smile from the start of the class till the end.我的課程內容與教學風格
For kids, I always prepare PowerPoint presentations of vocabulary words to make sure they learn new words every lesson. I'd start my class with common questions like the weather, the dates, and so on especially for beginners.
For adults, I usually use news articles for us to read and learn new vocabulary. Then, I would ask questions to encourage them to speak English more. I sometimes correct my students during the class but in some cases, I would just write on the chatbox the words or sentences they need to improve so that they will not be interrupted when expressing their ideas and opinions.我的教材
