I've had excellent teachers on Italki, but Mattia is the best. Things that make him stand out: -He prepares excellent conversation topics for each lesson. There are 2 sets of questions to choose from, & they lead to interesting & meaningful conversations. I always look forward to our conversations -When I say something incorrectly or awkwardly, he writes the correct or more natural way to say it in the notes. He corrects more of my mistakes than other teachers, so I feel I'm learning faster, while still allowing good flow of conversation -After the lesson, he takes the time to compile the things I learned in the lesson & puts it into a document I can review & print -His English & Spanish are excellent -His study of linguistics means he really understands the nuances of language learning, & how to be optimally effective -Mattia is thoughtful & intelligent, with knowledge of a wide variety of subjects -He is punctual, reliable, patient & encouraging, with consistent schedule availability

Parlare con Mattia è stata una esperienza bellissima e arricchente. Ho imparato tantissime cose, non solo sulla lingua ma anche sulla meravigliosa cultura italiana. Dopo tutte queste lezioni ho migliorato moltissimo il mio parlato. Le lezioni di Mattia sono molto ben organizzate, le spiegazioni sono chiare e precise, i contenuti molto interessanti. Inoltre, Mattia è molto simpatico, paziente e nelle sue lezioni crea un'atmosfera molto piacevole che favorisce lo sviluppo delle proprie qualità e ti fa sentire a tuo agio, soprattutto al momento di parlare in una lingua che non è la propria. Mi sono divertito molto e lo consiglio vivamente a tutti quelli che vogliano padroneggiare davvero l'italiano. Grazie di tutto, Mattia!

Mattia is a very good teacher.

What Mattia delivers is always beyond my expectation. I can tell he's really passionate about teaching Italian. I'm trully grateful that he's so patient with a beginer like me. In addition, he always encourges me to speak out even if I make lots of mistakes; once I finish the talk, he'll step out to correct one by one. He's also very generous to provide those many resources to review, plus his extra time. In a word, as a beginner who used to have 2 other italian teachers, I'd absolutely recommend Mattia to anyone who wants to improve his or her Italian.

I appreciate that Mattia has a list of questions prepared and usually lets me choose from among them which I would like to respond to. I also benefit from his waiting until I have finished my thought before he points out more correct ways for me to have expressed my thoughts in italian. He is always kind and patient.
