Hello! My name is Sharika, and I am eager to join you on your English-speaking journey.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a TESOL certification. I have thousands of hours of online teaching experience with students from various backgrounds including, China, Spain, Turkey, Taiwan, Korea, and Saudi Arabia. In addition, I have worked in corporate environments and have many years of training experience.

ESL TutorI have been teaching English to adults and children worldwide especially in Turkey, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Spain, Saudi Arabia, and China. I prepare various lesson plans and use different props. With most of my students, I focus on conversational skills and improving their listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. I build relationships with my students while focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar. This experience will help me when teaching on italki.
2018 - 2020
DirectorI facilitated workshops on e-commerce. I was actively involved in providing training on professional emails, client interaction, and communication skills (Business English). The training also included training on processes, platforms, and programs. I liaised with internal and external stakeholders some of which were international clients.

Legal Assistant/HR AdministratorLegal Assistant: I attended and facilitated workshops on contract law and legal processes. I was involved in training interns on processes and programs. My experienced included liaising with internal and external stakeholders. I was also responsible for vetting contracts and tenders.
HR Administrator: I trained interns and staff on the systems and programs. I was responsible for training various departments on the transformation process and requirements.

Trauma Support AdministratorMy responsibilities included compiling process flows and training material; facilitating and following up on training; implementing, executing, and managing processes; ensuring the proper handling of interactions, calls, and cases as well as compiling, updating, and submitting feedback/reports to management and clients.
2010 - 2012
ConsultantI assisted the Human Resources Department with the administration of relevant tests and skills assessments. I would compile and prepare reports. I also trained new staff and interns on systems, processes, and communication.
2007 - 2010
InternMy responsibilities included conducting therapy, role plays, and teaching children. I was responsible for setting up and administering assessments. I would also interpret information and the assessments conducted. I had various administrative functions which included writing reports. I conducted interviews and provided feedback to the relevant parties.
