【Background in Journalism • Studying International Chinese Education • Familiar with Regional Chinese Variations】
Hello! I graduated in Journalism and once worked as a reporter for a Chinese-language newspaper, which gave me insight into how Chinese varies across countries and regions. I’ve been teaching Chinese for five years, including experiences abroad, and I’m now pursuing a degree in International Chinese Education to deepen my professional knowledge.
Outside teaching, I’m passionate about backpacking and have explored many countries through cultural and language exchange. These journeys enrich my lessons with real-world perspectives and stories.我的教學經歷
【2018–2020】
I joined work-exchange programs in Vietnam, India, and Cambodia, teaching languages in return for accommodation and practicing cultural exchange. I welcome students who enjoy traveling to connect and share experiences.
【2020–Present】
I have been teaching Chinese online. As my native language, Chinese is both my passion and one of the most beautiful languages in the world. I love being a language partner for students worldwide, exchanging cultures while sharing the essence of Mandarin. I prioritize students’ goals and interests, creating lessons that are relaxed, engaging, and professional. My aim is for every class to be enjoyable while delivering clear progress. I welcome learners of all levels, including complete beginners, and use lively methods to make the first steps fun and confidence-building. Cultural elements are often integrated to make learning natural and memorable. For exams, business, or other specific goals, I tailor course content accordingly. To ensure steady improvement, I assign light but practical tasks, such as finding a Chinese song, keeping a short diary, or watching a 10-minute video without subtitles—helping you apply Chinese in real-life contexts我的教材

Xin Pei is very patient! I ask a lot of questions and she always takes time to answer and makes sure I understand her answers. She also adjusts our conversations to match my level, is patient when I forget words but also challenges me periodically with new words and terms so I'm always learning something new. I really enjoy our classes and I feel a slow but steady progress. Thank you so much!

It seems like my son thoroughly enjoys his classes with Laoshi Yeoh. He even asked for more classes. Laoshi Yeoh provides topics and materials that make my son excited to learn and engage in conversation with her. Currently, we are residing in Taiwan, and my son is studying here using traditional Mandarin. The effort that Laoshi Yeoh puts into creating a slideshow using traditional Mandarin is highly impressive, and as a mother, I truly appreciate it.

Yeoh Xin Pei always comes with a super friendly attitude and a wide range of topics and materials to talk about. The lessons always fly by, an hour feels like 10 minutes.
She has a great understanding of European / Western world, which makes for easier and richer communication and even more opportunities to "accidentally learn something new".

Just completed the 1st lesson after the trial lesson with Xin Pei. 😁
Since I've stated that I aim to do the HSKK初级, she has created a plan to review and practise speaking for half an hour, then doing the mock test together for the next.
I'm able to identify my weakness and she has helped tremendously in making me understand certain parts that I wasn't clear on. 🌟

Excellent teacher! I had an amazing first class. She asked me in advance what kind of lesson I would like and she delivered exactly that. She took the time to ask more about me and my learning goals in order to better prepare future lessons. I am very happy with the lesson and looking forward to having more sessions.
