Hi! I’m Sara, a native French speaker from Paris, now living in Lyon where I study geology. I’ve always loved sharing knowledge so much so that I started my own tutoring association during the quarantine. I’m passionate about languages and cultures, and throughout my studies, I’ve had the chance to learn English, Italian, Spanish, and Arabic. I also love traveling to meet people and discover new perspectives. Outside of teaching, I’m into astronomy, podcasting, literature, and anything that sparks thoughtful conversation. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive space where you feel confident expressing yourself in French, naturally and with joy.我的教學經歷
I’ve been teaching for several years, both in class and online. I’ve taught English to teenagers in group settings, as well as French and science to individual students. I’m a supportive and encouraging teacher, I believe that learning should be enjoyable and pressure-free. I adapt to each student’s pace and level, and I always make sure the atmosphere is respectful and positive. My lessons are personalized based on your goals and interests. We can focus on speaking, listening, reading, writing, or all four! I offer different formats: casual conversation, grammar explanations, essay writing support, or even a book club format for advanced learners. I provide clear explanations and helpful feedback. English TeacherI taught a class of 15 students with an A2-B1 level in a private group. I provided 3 hours of lessons every Saturday. My responsibilities included preparing the lessons, organizing interactive workshops, creating assessments, and correcting them. English volunteer teacherI taught English to high school students in the online tutoring association Virtual Class, which I founded. Over the course of five years, we supported more than 500 students across France. research internI completed a long research internship where I was tasked with coding a correction model to address biases in a pollution sensor’s readings, particularly in extreme temperature conditions. My work involved developing algorithms to adjust the sensor's data, ensuring more accurate measurements and improving the overall reliability of the sensor in various environmental conditions

I cover a variety of topics, from the latest scientific news to the stories of women in science, career guidance, and much more. 2023 - 2024
TEDx SpeakerI had the privilege of speaking at a TEDx event where I shared my talk titled "L'audace à la portée de tous", which translates to "Boldness Within Everyone's Reach". In my speech, I discussed how audacity and courage are qualities that anyone can cultivate, regardless of their background or circumstances. I emphasized the importance of stepping out of our comfort zones and taking risks to make a difference, whether in science, personal growth, or any other field.

Sara was a really great teacher in practicing conversation, she was very attentive to my language goals and was able to make the lesson very interactive and in important topics to expand my French conversation skills! Every time I made an error she very patiently walked me through the thought process of translating what I want to say, I really liked this method!

Sara was very patient during the lesson. She explained grammar concepts slowly for me and repeated things when I needed. After, I had a chance to practice speaking and Sara gave me corrections as I needed.

My first short lesson with Sara was very nice. She tried her best to understand what level my French is, why I want to learn it, and how we would best go forward in other lessons. She also corrected my mistakes and wrote new words and sentences down for me.
