My name is Heather and I am from North Carolina, USA. I have a bachelor's degree in history and TEFL certificate with specializations in one-to-one, online teaching, and IELTS prep. I used to work in the tourism industry as a travel agent, I even owned my own agency. Now, I host high school exchange students and help them with their English, school subjects, and experiencing American culture. I have 2 dogs, a cat, and 8 chickens and live in a rural area. I love to travel and learn about new cultures (and try their food!).我的教學經歷
I earned my TEFL certificate in January 2021 along with specializations in one-on-one, online teaching, and IELTS prep. Since then I have been helping children and adults learn and improve their English. I also work with teenage exchange students.我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is communicative, I prefer to teach what students need or want to know. My lessons are created around the student so my student's can ask what they want to learn. I use a mix of slides, documents, video/audio clips, and images to help with the learning process.
I offer general English lessons, conversational lessons, IELTS or TOEFL exam prep, English for school, and English for tourism (either as a traveler or as a business).我的教材

TEFL - i-to-i - 2021180-hour Level 5 TEFL course
A 10-module course with specialization in designing engaging, effective lesson plans. Tests at the end of each module plus three written assignments. Passed three lesson plan assignments on teaching vocabulary, grammar and listening skills. Received personal feedback from a tutor, which stated the lesson plans were ‘dynamic and creative’.
