I have had almost 10 ASL classes with Nim so far, and she has been so awesome! I was a complete beginner in our first session, and today we had a really great lesson in which I was able to stumble through signing a conversation with her for almost 20 minutes! So stoked about my progress! Nim is a very patient and flexible teacher. She always makes sure to correct me when I sign incorrectly, and we can adapt the classes to whatever I want to do in the moment - even if that means she has to fingerspell a lot of words in a row so I can practice my reading comprehension! I really appreciate that she sends me videos of her signing the signs we've learnt in class, because it can be difficult sometimes to find ASL resources on the Internet. She encourages me to sign, not speak, whenever I can and also does the same. Overall, I've really enjoyed my classes with Nim so far. Thanks so much Nim! I look forward to taking many more classes with you :)
