Bachelor's Degree in Languages (major: English Language and Literature) from Rio de Janeiro State University | Translator, teacher, and UX Designer. I love exchanging knowledge and experiences with foreigners and showing them more about my country and culture so we can learn beyond stereotypes.
Bacharel em Letras (ênfase em língua inglesa e literaturas) pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro | Tradutora, professora e UX Designer. Amo trocar conhecimentos e experiências com estrangeiros e mostrar a eles mais sobre o meu país e cultura, para que possamos ir além dos estereótipos.
Because I graduated in Languages, I obtained much training related to teaching languages and Linguistics, which prepared me to understand different nuances and variations that happen due to factors like region, culture, social class, age, etc., and to have my mind open to comprehend my students' goals and needs.
Por ser formada em Letras, obtive bastante treinamento em relação ao ensino de idiomas e à linguística, o que me preparou para entender as diversas nuances e variações que ocorrem de acordo com fatores como região, cultura, classe social, idade etc. e ter a mente aberta para analisar e compreender os objetivos e as necessidades de meus alunos.
I like making lessons dynamic and avoiding too orthodox methods so that the learning can become lighter and more interesting. I usually work with slides and videos, and I have material directed to the Portuguese Language training for foreigners...我的教材

Nayara’s lessons have been extremely valuable for me while progressing from near-beginner to lower intermediate.
Her excellent grasp of English and linguistics meant she was able to quickly help me through any difficulties I had, whether it was explaining grammatical concepts or translating words/expressions.
When I requested certain areas of improvement I wanted to work on she was able to find material / tasks to suit this.

Nayara is a fantastic teacher. She has lots of energy, was really friendly and patient. Nayara kept the conversation following with lots of interesting topics and questions. She typed loads of feedback as the lesson went, so that I could review new vocabulary later. I would highly recommend taking a lesson with Nayrar.
