In my lessons, I focus on conversation and getting to know you. I love learning about people, so I’ll ask many questions—please tell me your answers in Japanese! Don’t worry, I’ll help you every step of the way. I’m always patient and encouraging.
I’m also learning English on italki, so I understand the feelings of language learners—both the frustration and the excitement.

We can talk about many topics—culture, history, religion, politics, the economy, and business in our countries.
Many learners also enjoy reading Japanese news articles and discussing them during lessons.
I’ll ask you lots of questions about you, your life, and your country—because I love learning about people! Please tell me about yourself in Japanese.
Of course, we can also chat about daily life, hobbies, anime, music, movies, books, and anything else you’re into. And pets(I love cats!).

I have been taking lessons with Atsushi for quite some time now and found him to be extremely easy to talk to and try new grammar points and phrases. I really like that he often takes my sentence and words it for me-- which is SUPER helpful. Highly recommended! Awesome teacher!

Atsushiさん is one of the few really great teachers on this platform. I find all of the conversations incredibly engaging and entertaining. Moreover, I'm constantly cracking up because of Atsushiさん's awesome sense of humor. Most important however is that he's patient and a good teacher that speaks at a level that's comfortable for me yet, constantly teaches me new vocabulary and grammar. I appreciate all of the hard work he puts into transcribing all of the new concepts to review.
