Hi! My name is Kirsten. I am a native English speaker from South Africa, and I live in Johannesburg with my Fiancé and dog. I have been tutoring for just over 3 years now and have enjoyed every moment of it. I truly enjoy hearing all about my students cultures, interests and everything else in between! Even though I consider myself an introvert, meeting all of my students and getting to know them has been such a gift!我的教學經歷
I consider myself to be a very understanding and empathetic person, and I try my best to make my students feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I like to say that I want to feel as though they are talking to a friend.我的課程內容與教學風格
Most of my lessons are of a casual nature, where we talk about a variety of different topics that can potentially lead to more in depth discussions. Some of my favorite resources to use are debate topics, interesting articles that students can read to me, as well as many other resources. I am also more than happy to adapt our lessons according what the student requires.
Even though most of my lessons are of a casual nature, if my students request a more structured or formal lesson I am happy to adapt my lessons and give them their desired lesson structure. I am also new, but very willing to help students with their IELTS exam preparations.我的教材
