Hi everyone, I’m Mana!
I was born and raised in Tokyo 🗼 and studied abroad in Irvine, California. I also briefly studied Fashion Business in Paris, and now am living in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺.
I’m a Japanese tutor and also a life coach — which means I bring patience, curiosity, and encouragement into every lesson. My classes are relaxed and conversational, designed for learners who want to actually speak Japanese and enjoy the process.

I’m your conversation partner. When I studied abroad, I knew grammar but couldn’t speak. What helped me was having people who encouraged me to talk freely without worrying about mistakes. That’s the same space I want to give you.
In our lessons, you’ll practice speaking naturally, with gentle corrections only when needed. Thanks to my coaching background, I’m good at asking questions that help you express yourself more deeply. My goal is simple: to make Japanese feel enjoyable, natural, and part of your real life. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons are :
- Conversation-focused: practice speaking freely without stress
- Gentle corrections: only when mistakes repeat
- Flexible & fun: bring any topic you enjoy (daily life, travel, work, culture, movies, etc.)
- Coaching touch: I’ll ask good questions so you can express more than you expected

Another fantastic lesson! I appreciate her ability to engage in authentic conversation - it never feels like Im “in class” but rather having a genuine chat .. this motivates me to learn Japanese because I actually want to engage in the material. Can’t recommend enough! :)

Wow - what a fantastic first lesson! She went at the perfect pace for me - she allowed me to repeat new sentence constructions so that I could get comfortable with them - It’s nice to have a skilled teacher who knows how to set a pace that promotes genuine learning. Highly recommended!

Great conversation-focused trial lesson. Mana was patient, clear, and very easy to talk with. She explained things well in English while also encouraging me to use Japanese during the lesson. The atmosphere was relaxed and supportive, which made it comfortable to try speaking without pressure. I’m looking forward to continuing conversation practice with her.
