Thanasis

Lessons with Thanasis are always fun and put me further down the path towards my learning goals. He makes the details and structure of the language make sense! We’ve made a LOT of progress the last couple months and I’m looking forward to my growth as we continue!

Thanasis is an excellent teacher. I cannot recommend him enough. He is extremely well-prepared, uses effective material, assigns meaningful homework and gets results.

As always, Thanasis presents a thorough and comprehensive class. Our time is productive; he is not a rigid grammarian focused on correcting homework. We combine study as well as conversation about ourselves: a connection that encourages me to express myself in my intermediate Greek without feeling judged or nervous. Our weekly class together has fired my motivation to advance my Greek proficiency. Hurrah for Thanasis!

I’ve been learning Greek with Thanasis for a few lessons now, and I'm really impressed with his approach. He has a direct teaching style but makes it engaging by using a variety of materials - text, images, and even audio samples - which really helps things click. Plus, he's super friendly and patient, which makes learning a lot more enjoyable. Even in just a few sessions, I feel like I’m starting to grasp the basics and how to actually use words in conversation. Definitely recommend him as a teacher!

Thanasis presents a comprehensive lesson plan. It is clear he strives to keep the student engaged and "struggling" in Greek which is the only way to develop proficiency. He is patient and has a nice smile (when he smiles) :} I look forward to my classes with him.
