Hi, I’m Zen from South Africa—a certified EFL teacher specializing in Cambridge English and IELTS preparation for adults. With 5+ years of experience, I help students master exam strategies and fluent, natural English through engaging discussions (I love science, travel, and gaming too!). As a teacher, I am friendly, I listen to my students closely and encourage them to think about different topics. I believe that learning is an active process, and the focus should be on my students, not on the teacher. I love doing communicative activities, and get bored doing long worksheets of practice material! I encourage lots of reading, and talking- but only if the student feels ready. I also really enjoy doing as many video lessons as possible. I believe that the classroom is a safe place, where it's all right to make mistakes and be yourself. My lessons will usually follow a structure based on the Cambridge system, which is aimed at enhancing the learning experience. I enjoy using Cambridge materials, as well as materials from Linguahouse, which includes video lessons.我的教材
