Hello! I am Andy and I am from Guatemala. I have a deep passion for language learning and language exchanging. I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of people from all around the world and make marvelous friends from a huge variety of places and backgrounds. I absolutely love to learn about the world's different cultures and traditions, which is why language exchanging and tutoring have been such a huge part of my life, thus, allowing me to gain a lot of experience in those matters. As a community tutor, my goal is to help you throughout your Spanish learning path! Most of my tutoring experience comes from language exchanging, which has worked marvelously! I like to make my tutoring as personalized as possible, especially because it allows me to build a great bond with my students, which is always useful when it comes to the comfort and confidence needed throughout the language learning path. I am always very relaxed and patient; I always go at the students' pace since my goal is to be able to help them in the best way possible. Andy is an incredible tutor. I've had many conversations with tutors but with Andy nothing feels forced. He is super intelligent and interesting and we never run out of things to talk about. He does an amazing job.

Andy is truly a one-of-a-kind teacher and a total gem on italki. They are warm, funny, patient, engaging, and incredible at balancing natural conversation with teaching moments. My Spanish has improved so much working with Andy, as has my knowledge of Guatemalan culture, tradition, and (only the best) slang. I cannot recommend Andy enough for beginner to intermediate level Spanish students who are looking for a conversation partner that will keep them engaged and having fun while learning.
