Hi, I’m Etsuko! I’m a native Japanese speaker. I was born and raised in Fukui Prefecture. There is a dinosaur museum nearby. (わたしは、えつこです。恐竜博物館で有名な福井県にすんでいます。）
I have two granddaughters. They are very talkative. Watching them learn to speak, I became more interested in the Japanese language. I learned many things that I did not know even though I am Japanese. The Japanese language is very interesting.（孫たちが話せるようになるのを見ていて、日本語がとても興味深いと思うようになりました。）我的教學經歷
I was an elementary school teacher for 35 years. I have a lot of experience teaching hiragana, katakana, kanji, and reading Japanese. Depending on your level of Japanese, I can use easy Japanese or speak politely. Furthermore, I have passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test.
I have experience teaching English to third graders and above. In addition to teaching, I am also continuing to learn English. I take online lessons on "italki" and join a local English chatting club.

I teach using “Irodori” in the beginner’s class. You don't need to buy the textbook because you can download it from the website. I also show the text in PowerPoint or PDFs, so you don't need to download it to learn. I teach the intermediate level using “Marugoto”. You will need to purchase the textbook.
I can also help you with your JLPT preparation. I will teach you according to the speed and content you want to learn. Let's have fun learning Japanese. I’m looking forward to seeing you in my class.

Etsuko-sensei explains very clearly everything that is needed for understanding a notion. She uses examples and makes sure that you have understood, and uses very good material for her lessons.
Once again, I would recommend Etsuko-sensei to anyone that wishes to deepen their understanding of Japanese !

Etsuko 先生 always taught very patiently. I like her even I am not talking too much (don't know how to express), she would like to talk and induce me to speak out loud. Excellent teacher for any level would like to learn Japanese. (thumbs up)
