I’ve worked with adult learners of all levels, including professionals, university students, and language enthusiasts from many countries. I hold a teaching diploma from Alliance Française of Paris, and I’m currently completing a master’s degree in language teaching methodology at the University of Grenoble Alpes — one of France’s top-ranked universities. I'm also interested in cognitive science and enjoy using science-based strategies to support learning and memorization.

Teaching (and language learning) is who I am. In university, many of my friends were international students. I took pride in my ability to adapt my English to the appropriate level as they progressed. I was learning German, and this really helped me see things from their perspective. Now I am well-known in the Esperanto community - a regular teacher-in-residence at NASK and other events. In 1988 I became a tutor in a Free Esperanto Course (which I now administer), and when I left my IT career in 2016, I started teaching once a week at the local ESOL Association, as well as tutoring on line and in person. Teaching different languages in these situations has given me a unique perspective.

For 16 years, I teach occitan and esperanto, volunteer or as employee in a language training center. I runned for 6 years online training, I regularly teach courses of all kinds. I do not have a university education, I learned as we say "on the job" but I'm very interested in pedagogy, I like to read, to explore and train myself on the subject, I like to experiment with new techniques and I always try to improve myself.

They call me a Polyglot but I just call myself a multilingual. I have taught students from various countries, and I know that everyone learns languages differently. Thus, my linguistics knowledge and experience help me understand what students like you need and how you can learn better.

Teaching 11 languages, currently learning 3 more, 20+ years of experience as a teacher When teaching I take both my schedule and my classes seriously. When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our previous sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. In 2021 I started using Skype for my classes (I now conduct my lessons on Teams) and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our lessons, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.

I created exercises for language exams and graduation exams in Esperanto. I had many groups of adults in language schools. But I am teaching also in private by Skype and Zoom.

My goal is to make each student confident in their ability to learn languages. I let my students explore both traditional and untraditional methods and support them along their language learning journey with patience and enthusiasm. Moreover, I will provide you with my notes and suggestions on how to improve after each class! I have experience in teaching and tutoring language students of all ages and backgrounds.
