I hold a teaching diploma from Alliance Française of Paris, and I'm currently completing a master's degree in language teaching methodology at the University of Grenoble Alpes — one of France's top-ranked universities. I'm also interested in cognitive science and enjoy using science-based strategies to support learning and memorization. In addition to French, I also teach Occitan, a Romance language spoken in the southern part of France, and Esperanto, an international language designed to be easy and fun to learn. I'm passionate about language learning myself, and I enjoy intercultural exchanges — each lesson is a chance to learn from each other. A scheduled lesson becomes part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what we have been doing, thus it is easy for me to check the content of our previous sessions. I used to teach students in physical classrooms. In 2021 I started using Skype for my lessons (today it's Teams) and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our lessons, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same. Meaning a thorough explanation of the grammar with several carefully tailored examples, exercises, homework, checking the student's progress, listening and reading comprehensions and once the student's knowledge progresses sufficiently, having a conversation.

For 16 years, I teach occitan and esperanto, volunteer or as employee in a language training center. I runned for 6 years online training, I regularly teach courses of all kinds. I do not have a university education, I learned as we say "on the job" but I'm very interested in pedagogy, I like to read, to explore and train myself on the subject, I like to experiment with new techniques and I always try to improve myself.

Multilingual teacher of Finnish and Esperanto My main goal as a teacher is to make the student feel relaxed and confident. My lessons are a safe space and I focus on the positive things.

My goal is to make each student confident in their ability to learn languages. I let my students explore both traditional and untraditional methods and support them along their language learning journey with patience and enthusiasm. Moreover, I will provide you with my notes and suggestions on how to improve after each class! I have experience in teaching and tutoring language students of all ages and backgrounds. Teaching (and language learning) is who I am. In university, many of my friends were international students. I took pride in my ability to adapt my English to the appropriate level as they progressed. I was learning German, and this really helped me see things from their perspective. Now I am well-known in the Esperanto community - a regular teacher-in-residence at NASK and other events. In 1988 I became a tutor in a Free Esperanto Course (which I now administer), and when I left my IT career in 2016, I started teaching once a week at the local ESOL Association, as well as tutoring on line and in person. Teaching different languages in these situations has given me a unique perspective.
