Jooah is one of the best Korean teachers on italki. She is patient, passionate, and genuinely cares about her students. You can really feel that she wants you to improve and succeed. She adapts every lesson to your level, making it challenging enough to help you progress without ever feeling overwhelming. She can teach students from beginner to advanced level, and her conversations are always fun, interesting, and engaging. Jooah has an excellent understanding of Korean grammar and, most importantly, explains it clearly to foreign learners. She also provides detailed notes after each lesson, making it easy to review and consolidate what you have learned. If you are serious about learning Korean, I highly recommend her. Her lessons will help you improve enormously and speak Korean more naturally, correctly, and fluently in real-life situations.

민 선생님 is an incredible teacher! I especially appreciate the effort she puts into preparing the lesson materials. She always prepares lesson materials that are tailored to my needs and interests. She carefully organizes and highlights useful expressions and vocabulary from videos, which has helped me understand how to use Korean naturally in real-life situations. During our lessons, she guides me in creating my own sentences using the new vocabulary and expressions, which has been incredibly helpful for remembering and actually applying what I learn. She also sends the materials to me before each class, which gives me time to prepare for the lesson. She is also very detail-oriented and identifies areas where I need improvement, especially with certain grammar points and my pronunciation. Thanks to 민 선생님, I have become much more confident in Korean and have even started using Korean in my music work. I highly recommend 민 선생님!

JaeHyeon is a truly excellent teacher and you can tell he is passionate about teaching. He explains Korean language in a way that makes it entertaining and engaging. He uses a mix of cultural reference, reading, speaking, vocabulary and quizzes to gain a clear understanding of your learning level. His learning materials are very clear and the lesson structures are well thought out. He is incredibly diligent, patient and kind. Don't look for other tutors, you have found the best one!

jinny선생님 is always helpful, kind, and compassionate. she matches my learning style well and thoroughly explains each concept and the reasoning/history behind the concept. this makes the learning stick to me much better because i really like to understand the "why" behind things. additionally, 선생님 is very charismatic and welcoming so i feel comfortable making mistakes and reviewing them with her, she coaches and corrects me in a caring and constructive way and encourages me to try again independently so i can feel confident in reading out loud and conversing back and forth. lastly, her notes and tips on conversational korean are very fun helpful and add extra charm and joy to the class that makes me excited to come back and book more. i totally recommend booking a lesson even if you are a being, you are in good hands!

for student who learn with John for almost three months I highly recommend this teacher cuz in John‘s class u always feel he is actually wanna teach u something and caring u not only abt ur study progress also how u feel the class vibe are always relax but also ur actually learning stuff from him cuz when I just come here the Korean I know is from k-drama but now when I wanna older food in Korean or even have a little conversation I could do it also no matter wha mistake u made he never juggle u he will make sure is correct and then move on especially reading Hangul he will find the best way for u to understand and he never get tired to help u to make u become perfect and John’s class he have his own style and personalize cuz every class he will give u chance to have little conversation in Korean to build up ur confident and make u think ur better than u thought also he give the best and real advice while learning sooo just book his lesson u will master this language pretty soon

I've been taking lessons with him for a year now and I can say that this is, hands down, the most stress-free learning environment I've ever been in. He adapts to whatever your goals are, he's also always kind, encouraging and incredibly patient. He won't put any pressure on you regarding your pace of learning or your level of knowledge.
