Gunta is an outstanding teacher — I honestly couldn’t ask for better! She is patient, supportive, and explains everything so clearly that it really sticks. Her lessons are always fun, relaxed, and full of laughs, which makes learning so much easier. I’ve made real progress thanks to her, and I genuinely look forward to every lesson (they’re one of the highlights of my week!). Lauma is a wonderful teacher! She speaks at a level that is at the place where I am. Being able to understand mostly what she is telling me each lesson really helps build my confidence to speak the language. She is very patient and really knows how to teach Latvian. She also has access to many resources that have been very helpful to learn from. Her learning material recommendations have also been excellent.

It is very impressive to see how much I manage to learn in 30 minutes. I never thought I would understand a native since I studied Latvian on my own for less than 2 months. Lelde speaks very clearly and always has very intelligent conversations. I am so thanful I can understand her and respond!

Great lesson to memorize words in Latvian and also to start building sentences in the past, present and future along with adding accusative words from the declination table. I see that learning the language is getting better.

Kristiāna is a wonderful teacher. Extremely accommodating and helpful. She provided examples for how to use words in different contexts and gave key points of how to remember sentences and words for conversation. Would definitely recommend her for anyone learning Latvian!

Alise was very friendly and helped with my pronunciations. I started the lesson with understanding three words and by the end we were able to have a introduction conversation together. She understood what I was interested in and plans on implementing it in the lesson, which I find is wonderful.

Gita is an amazing Latvian teacher. She specializes each lesson for me while also using official state teaching materials to teach vocabulary and grammar.

This is was so far my favorite tutor that I've met with on italki. I am mainly using italki because I selected a language that doesn't have a lot of speakers in my area so I am attempting to improve my conversation. Tina was super accommodating and aligned with my goals. Will meet again!

I’ve had a lot of grammatical “ah ha” moments since starting lessons with Dina. I really appreciate that she helps me truly understand how Latvian works and the “why” behind the language. She has a great approach to lessons, understands my language goals, and provides the perfect amount of challenge to help me meet them. She is exactly the kind of teacher I was hoping for to take my Latvian to the next level. Liels, liels paldies, Dina!

Really interesting lesson, we told about the first chapter of a novel I'm trying to read in latvian Lesson. In many years studying language I had the chance too mett good teachers and lot of them claiming to adpat their lesson to student's needs and level, but that is the very first time it is that true !
