As a heritage speaker of Pashto with a basic foundation, I'm finding Khadim very helpful for developing my confidence and introducing me to a wider range of topics. He encourages me to take the lead in lessons and does just enough to help me along when I get stuck. I have encountered a lot of sophisticated vocabulary that will help me get across more complex and interesting ideas in Pashto than I am used to. It is clear he is well educated and can readily translate ideas directly into native Pashto terms, while also providing insight into what sounds most natural and what is commonly used. While my grammar is passable, Khadim tests me with situations where I have to use complicated constructions and naturally guides me through them where I struggle. Lessons are engaging and I feel comfortable asking any question or making any request. I also feel like I am getting a lot of practice, compared with other teachers who don't give me enough opportunities to speak.

Just had my first official lesson and I now know how to form simple sentences! Sobia is very patient and helped me cement various vocabulary words through repetition. She made sure to correct my pronunciation, too! Overall, I had a fun and productive time and will continue to learn Pastho with her.

I've been taking Pashto lessons with Munia and couldn't be happier with the experience. She makes every lesson something to look forward to. Ahmad is a highly trained and patient teacher who manages to explain grammar and the context in which to use words and sentences without making it complex. His learning methods are very effective and flexible according to your needs. More specifically I asked him to focus on reading Pashto and he provided me with material that improved my reading skills and my vocabulary in a few lesson without even notice it. Lessons with Shifa are always delightful! She is very well trained, her materials are excellent, and the methods she uses are effective for both conversation with native speakers and building literacy skills. My progress is Pashto has grown exponentially in the last three months, and more importantly, I am having so much fun in the process. I look forward to taking many more lessons with Shifa!

I highly recommend Mursal as a Pashto teacher. I have had the pleasure of studying with her for almost a month now (12 lessons).
