Hi! I have been teaching Swedish for a couple of years and I have a good idea which words are important if you want to be able to communicate with people in real life. I have had students that hardly knew the alphabet when I started to teach them and I have had students that already spoke quite good Swedish when I met them. I am flexible as a teacher and I try to adapt my teaching to what my students need.

As a teacher, I encourage my students to speak freely and make mistakes. I believe that the fear of making mistakes is what often holds us back from learning, so my main goal is to help you feel confident and relaxed when speaking. I’m engaging, patient, and flexible, and I always try to identify each student’s needs in order to tailor the class to the person.

I see a teacher as someone traditionally teaching grammar structures in a classroom and having students study one long wordlist after the other, but that's just my perception! I'd call myself a tutor because I like to teach people Swedish informally and using all the creative means I can to get words and expressions to stick with them.
