A way to use a noun as an adjective when commenting on something. Can be used to positively or negatively.

Ex: Your nails.... it's giving mermaid. = The style of your nails remind me of mermaid aesthetics.

A friendly way to address a girl or a group of people in an endearing way.

When you learn something about someone's past experiences, they are "dropping some of their lore".

A compliment expressing "They did such a good job at/with that!"

Ex: you say a sentence in a foreign language perfectly, so someone compliments you with "you ate that!"

Explanation: A person who is "cooking" is trying to focus on their task, so that the result will be excellent.

Ex: She's still recording more footage for her next TikTok. Let her cook!

Explanation: The way Gen Z talks can sound kind of dumb, like as if your brain is rotting

Rotting in bed = Spending the day or hours in bed

Explanation: kind of like you're lying there like a rotting fruit. can be a positive (restful, relaxing) or negative thing (not being productive, lazy)

When you're developing romantic feelings for someone.

Ex: We were flirting and he has me down bad.

Something you can say to affirm what someone else is saying.

Example:
- I love living in LA but the traffic is so bad.
