it is commonly used to describe someone who is smart and studies a lot "Nerd"

A way to call someone: bro/ friend
"Naber kanka?"

A way to react to something you're surprised about, or something that you want to confirm:  Really? 
Ali: Yeni bir araba aldım.
Ayşe: Valla mı?

"to get burned" means you're done, or doomed. used when a bad situation happens.
 "Futbol maçını kaybettik, yandık!"

expresses disbelief or surprise "no way" 
Ali: Bu kalemi 1000 liraya aldım
