 "The Umbrella Man" is  a great short story by Roald Dahl, who was a very famous British writer. I will read Part One to you and then highlight some key vocabulary. I guarantee you will be excited to hear Part Two next week.

有yǒu一天yī tiān,小明xiǎo míng的de妈妈mā ma带dài小明xiǎo míng去qù看kàn芭蕾舞bā lěi wǔ表演biǎo yǎn。小明xiǎo míng很hěn喜欢xǐ huān看kàn表演biǎo yǎn，所以suǒ yǐ他tā非常fēi cháng高兴gāo xìng。

但是dàn shì他tā看见kàn jiàn演员yǎn yuán们men都dōu踮diǎn着zhe脚jiǎo跳舞tiào wǔ,就jiù问wèn妈妈mā ma：”妈妈mā ma，演员yǎn yuán踮diǎn着zhe脚jiǎo跳舞tiào wǔ多duō累lèi啊a，他们tā men为什么wèi shén me不bù找zhǎo一些yī xiē高gāo一点儿yī diǎnr的de演员yǎn yuán呢ne?”

妈妈mā ma笑xiào着zhe回答huí dá：”傻shǎ孩子hái zi，芭蕾舞bā lěi wǔ就jiù是shì一yī种zhǒng用yòng脚尖jiǎo jiān跳tiào的de舞蹈wǔ dǎo！”
