En Argentina, particularmente noroeste del país (Jujuy, Salta y Tucumán principalmente), se toma una bebida llamada Api 💜 Se hace con maíz morado, lo que le da un color característico, y a veces también se le agrega canela y clavo de olor. Se toma caliente y con algún panificado salado (usualmente frito) con o sin queso 😊
