'Their' vs 'They're' vs 'There'
What is the difference between these three?
1. Their: this is the possessive form of the word 'they'. It is used to show ownership of something.
"Their shoes became dirty from walking in the mud."
2. They're: this is the contraction or short form of the words 'they are'. It is easy to remember the meaning of this because it is the only one out of the three that has an apostrophe.
"They're having guests over for dinner."
3. There: this is an adverb that indicates a place or a direction. It's easy to remember the meaning of this one since it contains the word 'here'.
"It is freezing up there in mountains."
