Today, I started to read the book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. It's an interesting story about a poor boy's adventures. I have only read a little of it, so I can only tell you about what I've read so far. Charlie lives with his parents and grandparents in a small house with two rooms. The grandparents live and sleep in one room, and Charlie and his parents in the other. Their family shares mattresses because they are too poor for separate beds. Charlie’s father is the only one that works. He earns only a little money and this is not enough for even one person. They eat the same meal every day of cabbage soup and bread with butter. Once a year they are able to buy a chocolate bar for Charlie, usually on his birthday. Charlie loves chocolate so much that he eats it in little bites.
