Other than English, I have been learning something related to my new work for the last few days in order to be off to a good start. I'm not pretty sure whether or not I can settle down in the new working environment, but I believe fear often exaggerates danger, as the proverb says✨

I'm not really sure whether I can or not settle down in the new working environment, but I believe fear often makes the situation more exaggerated than it actually is, as the proverb says✨

Just as you said, it's fear that make it worse. It's fine. But you should also need to really make sure you are happy with the new work environment !
