Hello! I'm Katrine, a native Danish teacher with a passion for language education and cultural exchange. I started teaching in Colombia, where I taught English, sparking my love for language. Now I'm based in Chile, teaching Danish to all learners of all levels, whether for travel, work, or personal enrichment. My experience living across Latin America has deepened my appreciation for how languages connect people and cultures. I bring creativity, patience, and personalized guidance to each lesson, making sure learning is engaging and makes you feel motivated. With an open and patient approach, I create a supportive environment where you'll feel comfortable and motivated to improve your Danish skills.
During our lessons, we'll explore a variety of subjects to keep the learning experience interesting. The emphasis is on active participation, encouraging you to speak as much as possible. A really enjoyable lesson focusing on Christmas and New Year in Denmark. Lots of opportunities to talk and try out new sayings and expressions. Perfectly paced and the lesson flew past. I also learned more on Danish traditions. Tusind tak for i dag!

I tried several different Danish teachers on here, but eventually only continued my classes with Katrine. Her teaching style is the perfect balance between well-organized and flexible. She's both calm and energizing, listens to you patiently, encourages but also kindly addresses your weaknesses/things to improve on. I couldn't be more satisfied with our classes and am very happy to feel much more confident speaking Danish in my everyday life.
