Welcome to your Danish language journey. It’s a pleasure to meet you. 🙂 Velkommen til. Det er hyggeligt at møde dig. 🙂 I am a native Danish speaker, originally from Northern Denmark, now residing in Padua, Italy, with my family. Prior to Italy, we spent four years in Poland, enriching our cultural experiences. With a background in homeschooling my two sons—both of whom successfully passed their Danish language exams—I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of personalized, one-on-one instruction. My eldest is now pursuing a degree in interior architecture, while the youngest continues his college education. Fluent in English and learning Italian and West African Pidgin. Keywords: HYGGE, focus, and laughter. Creating a sense of hygge fosters a relaxed and supportive atmosphere that helps my students build confidence and stay motivated. Every student is unique, so I tailor my lessons to suit your individual needs and learning pace. I’m passionate about explaining grammar rules clearly and enjoy guiding students through pronunciation practice. I specialize in conversation training at all levels, providing you with the opportunity to improve your listening, comprehension, and speaking skills in a natural and engaging way. Marianne is a great conversation partner! I am an intermediate speaker, and am mainly looking for an instructor who will help me have fluid conversations in Danish. Marianne is very receptive to customizing the sessions to meet my needs.

I cannot recommend Marianne enough, particularly to those who are complete beginners in Danish. From the first lesson, she was able to create a friendly and comfortable learning environment where I could try using the concepts she taught without fear of making mistakes. She is kind, patient, encouraging, and fun to learn from. As far as teaching method, Marianne uses a Danish textbook that ensures the lesson time feels structured. I am very thankful to be learning from her, and look forward to each of our lessons.
