Danish for Beginners - Learn Danish with a Friendly, Fun & Experienced Native Teacher Hi! My name is Mathilde. I am a native Danish speaker from the small town of Holstebro. I currently live in Aarhus, Denmark, where I am teaching at a local school. Outside the classroom, I hold a degree in International Relations and have worked with NGOs focused on feminism, human rights, and social justice. I'm especially interested in migration and inclusive education. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, and eating delicious pie. I have been teaching for five years — both Danish and English — in different parts of the world. I have taught Art to children in India, English to young women in India, and Danish to children at a folkeskole in Denmark. I am currently teaching Danish online to adults who wish to learn the language and potentially move to Denmark. I work with both beginners and more advanced students. I also have experience preparing students for PD1, PD2, PD3, and SP (Studieprøven), in case you need to pass these exams in Denmark. My classes are fun and interactive — I love using games like Kahoot, Simon Says, and memory puzzles. I often bring in short films, fairy tales, and podcasts to keep things engaging. For me, it's important that my students enjoy learning and that we focus on topics that interest you, so you'll want to keep going and feel motivated. One of the best ! If you want to speak Danish, you've come to the right place. It's always a great and fun class with Mathilde ! Recommended! Key point: conversation is fun and encouraging. Also Mathilde takes into account the way I like to learn and how much effort I want to put into it. This led to some cool new ways to improve my danish and the feeling I'm actually making nice progress. Recommended!
