When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our previous sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. In 2021 I started using Skype for my classes (I now conduct my lessons on Teams) and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our lessons, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.

I believe in a communicative approach: my students start speaking from day 1 by being introduced to basic structures! These structures are building blocks for creating many sentences. We will also practice specific sounds (pronunciation), and you'll be introduced to new vocab through conversation. Grammar is touched upon when a mistake is made, or when the message is not clear.

Before, I have worked as a volunteer for Duolingo for the course 'German for Dutch speakers'. Beside that, I have been helping people to learn German on apps like Tandem for many years. I can't have Zoom meetings longer than 40 minutes. ‼️No-show lessons: If you don't show up to a lesson without leaving a note, I will leave the lesson after 15 minutes and you will have to pay for the lesson ‼️
