It was overcast today. This morning, Mom told me she would take me to a nice place after school. I was excited. But it turned out she was taking me to get another vaccine. How mischievous! I had been looking forward to it until MeeMaw came and asked Mom why we hadn’t headed to the clinic yet. What clinic? I quickly realized something was amiss. Mom had furtively told everyone about it except me, just to surprise me and make fun of it. I thought we were going to a party or something, but instead, it was an injection. She really got me bad.

The other reason why I like cycling is that I can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the route. It can be a big lake with peaceful and green water. It can also be a valley with tall mountains on both sides. So, when I stay home, I also like to watch cycling events. Especially these famous events, such as Tour de France. Yesterday I continued reading the book titled "Atomic Habits" and figured out something interesting. Goals and systems are very different. Goals are about the results you want to achieve, and systems are about the processes that lead to those results. Goals are good for setting a direction, but systems are best for making progress. Therefore, we can't achieve what we want if we only focus on our goals. Focusing on systems instead.
