This is a trial lesson to discuss your goals, needs, preferencies regarding learning the target language. Please write me a short introduction and tell me why you would like to learn the language, which level you are and what you would like to focus on (speaking, vocab, grammar, reading, writing, listening etc.).

Structured Hungarian lessons for Beginners, based on different textbooks and/or pdf/online teaching material.

The way I teach in this course:  In the first part of the lesson we talk freely about anything (everyday life, what happened to you during the week etc etc). If you would like to talk more, I also give pictures, situations, articles, videos about which we can have a conversation in a more structured way. While we talk I take notes of your typical mistakes (grammar and vocabulary) and after the speaking part we discuss those mistakes. It means that I point them out to you and you try to correct them. If you can correct your mistakes without any difficulty, it means that it was just an accidental mistake or a mistake that you normally only make while speaking. In this case we don't have to deal with it in form of exercises (unless you would like to do that). If there are mistakes, however, that you cannot correct or it's obvious that you have problems with, I will explain that part of grammar or vocabulary problem to you and I also give homework to that part of the language and including new vocabulary.  Then you do this homework and send it back to me before the next lesson starts. I correct it and we discuss it during the lesson. And we always practise/revise the new vocabulary in the next lesson. By giving  homework specially for your needs and revising vocabulary  in every session,  my lessons are highly individual and tailored to your needs and aims so you are bound to make a quick progress!:)

Hungarian for Pre-Intermediate and Advanced learners

This course is meant for students who already have been learning German for a while. Please don't choose this course if you are a complete beginner!

If you would like to talk more, I also give pictures, situations, articles, videos about which we can have a conversation in a more structured way. While we talk I take notes of your typical mistakes (grammar and vocabulary) and after the speaking part we discuss those mistakes. It means that I point them out to you and you try to correct them. If you can correct your mistakes without any difficulty, it means that it was just an accidental mistake or a mistake that you normally only make while speaking. In this case we don't have to deal with it in form of exercises (unless you would like to do that). If there are mistakes, however, that you cannot correct or it's obvious that you have problems with, I will explain that part of grammar or vocabulary problem to you and I also give homework to that part of the language - like Adjektivdeklination or Perfekt, Modalverben etc. Then you do this homework and send it back to me before the next lesson starts. I correct it and we discuss it during the lesson. 
If we covered new vocabulary too,  we will practise the new words in the next lesson.

German grammar and conversation

This course is meant for complete beginners or for students who only have a very basic command of the language. In this course I prefer using a coursebook: Studio d A1.
However, if you cannot/do not want to purchase the book I can also send you pdf files and mp3s based on the book.

German Beginner

This is a course that concentrates on grammar. We will talk much less than in my Grammar and Conversation course, so only choose this one if you want to work on your grammar skills. When we talk I will always take notes of your mistakes and we will discuss them together. Your mistakes and weaknesses will determine which grammar structure we are going to concentrate on. I will also give you short writing assignments and a lot of homework!

German Grammar/Deutsche Grammatik

Story-based/listening course in three levels

This course is based on a dialogue-story or a listening set (your choice!) If you like reading and if you would like to read a story in Hungarian that is getting gradually more and more difficult according to your level, the story-based course is the right course for you! This course is also great for students who are independent and like to do lots of homework in connection with the story (vocab, grammar, translation, tests etc). The course is also very useful for students who are less independent and need more help. In this case I will give shorter parts and I will explain more in the lessons.
As the story is based on every-day Hungarian, you can learn lots of frequently used vocabulary and expressions. These are not typical textbook expressions but phrases that we really use in Hungary today. There is a built-in review in the texts and exercises to make sure that you really learn these expressions in the long run. So, the course contains the story (step by step, it is divided into many parts, chapters), exercises (both vocab and grammar), grammar handouts/explanations, audio of the dialogues and also some video grammar/vocab explanation – all these you get from week to week with each booked lesson and you can work on these on yourself as homework. And in the lessons we practise speaking, dialogues, the new vocabulary, grammar, we discuss your homework and I answer your questions etc. I will adapt to you and to your needs and goals, so we will focus on the areas where you need most help. The course is available in three levels: beginner, pre-intermediate and intermediate. In a trial lesson we can discuss which level you are.

If you wish to improve your listening and learn some great vocabulary (topic based), I recommend my listening course. Here you'll get listening exercises as homework and in class we will practise the new words and speak about the topic to improve your speaking skills as well.

STORY-based/listening HUNGARIAN course in 3 levels

In this course I am going to prepare you for the Citizenship Interview (Simplified Naturalization Procedure) or for different Hungarian language exams (ECL, Origo, TELC etc) or. 

CITIZENSHIP
If you are preparing for the Citizenship Interview, we are going to deal with all the topics that usually come up in the interview. As homework I will send you lots of audios with exercises to improve your listening skills and expand your vocabulary and in class we will focus on speaking. Of course we will also learn the essential grammar that you need to form sentences and use the language creatively! :) We will also learn about the Hungarian culture and everything that you need to pass your "exam" and become a Hungarian citizen! :)
If you are preparing for a language exam, we are going to practise examlike exercises like Speaking (normal conversation, picture description, dialogues etc.), Listening (as homework), Writing (homework) and Reading (homework). In this course you can expect a lot of homework! In class we are going to focus on Speaking and your vocabulary plus any grammar that you don't understand and where you/I feel that you need improvement. We are going to deal with all the exam topics, especially with the ones that you consider difficult.

CITIZENSHIP interview and language exams

Buche diesen Kurs, wenn du dich auf eine Sprachprüfung vorbereiten möchtest. Goethe, Telc, TestDaF usw. In diesem Kurs werden wir uns im Unterricht auf den mündlichen Teil der Prüfung konzentrieren (es sei denn du möchtest dich auf den schriftlichen Teil konzentrieren) und als Hausaufgabe werde ich dir Schreibaufgaben und Lesetexte/Videos usw. schicken. Natürlich werde ich dir auch dabei helfen, deine Grammatikkenntnisse zu verbessern und deinen Wortschatz zu erweitern.

Prüfungsvorbereitung

I recommend this lesson type if you'd like to learn with 1,2,3 other people together (like with friends or family members). It's very important that YOU should find the other people you'd like to learn together with. Please always check with me before booking this type of lesson to discuss the details. It's very important that all participants should be on about the same level and have the same goals regarding learning. Please note that it's your responsibility that everyone is present in the lesson. If not, no problem, but please accept that I can't refund any part of the lesson price.
