ESTE CUENTO NOS HABLA DE: El Aprendiz y el Grimorio Perdido.



En una antigua torre, escondida entre las montañas, vivía un mago llamado Eldrin junto a su aprendiz, Kai. Un día, Eldrin le mostró a Kai un grimorio antiguo, un libro de hechizos lleno de misterios y secretos. El viejo mago advirtió a Kai sobre el gran poder que contenía el grimorio y los peligros de utilizarlo sin conocimiento.

Sin embargo, la curiosidad de Kai fue más fuerte. Una noche, mientras Eldrin dormía, Kai abrió el grimorio y pronunció un hechizo poderoso, desatando una gran tormenta mágica que hizo volar las páginas del libro por toda la torre.

Al día siguiente, Eldrin encontró la torre en completo desorden y el grimorio desaparecido. Kai, lleno de miedo, confesó lo que había hecho. The Apprentice and the Lost Grimoire

Narrator: The challenge for modern-day employees is to​evolve as the world is rapidly changing around them. You may not change, but the skills required to do your job well. In the last decade, ​automation has already had an impact on the number of jobs, and there are fears that this isn’t going to slow. Learning new skills allow workers to stay​relevant and competitive, even in the face of changes in their industry. It doesn’t have to be vastly time-consuming. Something such as improving your​Word or Excel skills, or learning basic code, to make you more efficient is a start. Yet, investing in more up-to-date abilities is a good idea. A good starting point is job-specific skills, but personal skills are also worth looking into. For example, if you find it difficult to cope under pressure, you may want to look into ​self-management. Communication is another area worth considering. You may want to look at, not only how you express yourself, but also your ability to ​actively listen when others are talking and incorporate their feedback and ideas into what you do. With globalization, another ​fundamental skill these days is intercultural awareness. So, there are a variety of options for us to improve our working knowledge.

From Two Sales to Bestseller: UK Author Goes Viral
When English author Vicky Ball sold two of her books at an event in December, she was delighted.

She shared the news on X, and said she was pleased because at some previous events she had not sold any books at all.

But she's now sold many more copies than that, after her post went viral and was seen millions of times by people around the world.

Her first novel, called Powerless, quickly climbed up Amazon's bestseller lists in the teen and young adult categories.

Ball, who is 48, told The Guardian that it was "amazing" to hear from people around the world who had bought her books.

Her second novel — Abandoned — has also been doing well on Amazon, and has gotten good reviews from customers.

Like so many authors, Ball had to fit in her writing around her work and family life.

She wrote her first book during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. She was working as a teacher at that time, so she spent weekends writing with her laptop on her knees.

Now Ball works at a university, and she's also studying writing in her free time.

She also said she's gotten lots of support from other writers on social media.

Asked by The Guardian if she had advice for other authors she said: "Just write!"

She said she begins writing before she has planned all of her story. "It's like a journey," she said. "You never know where it's going to go."
