I feel Christmas and New Year's holiday in Japan and north America is opposite. In Japan, Christmas is more like party time, festival feeling, and new years holiday is more holy and family gathering feeling.

Learning Indonesian is fun. But for people who have never learned Indonesian at all, they may not know and are confused about how to get started. Well, to start learning a Indonesian, the first thing you have to learn is the Indonesian alphabet. Why should you learn the alphabet? The answer is, so that when you start learning vocabulary, you can pronounce the word correctly. So, if you've never studied a Indonesian at all, don't underestimate learning the alphabet. And in every country it will be different how to pronounce the alphabet. If it's your first time learning a Indonesian and the teacher doesn't teach you how to read the alphabet, don't hesitate to ask your teacher to give you an alphabet reading lesson first.

As a beginner, there're some vocabularies that you didn't learn before, and native speaker's speed seems too fast to understand. But don't worry, let's do it step by step. 
1st time: listen and catch the words you know already, have a guess about the content.
2nd time: look at the text to check if you guessed it right. 
3rd time: listen one more time, repeat after it.
4th time: practice until you can speak as the normal speed without looking at the text.

中国人怎么打招呼呢？
zhōng guó rén zěn me dǎ zhāo hū ne ？
How do Chinese people greet?
早上见面,我们说“早上好”，或者“早”。
zǎo shàng jiàn miàn , wǒ men shuō “ zǎo shàng hǎo ”， huò zhě “ zǎo ”。
When we meet in the morning, we say "good morning", or "morning".
上午9点到12点，我们说：“上午好。"
shàng wǔ jiǔ diǎn dào shí èr diǎn ， wǒ men shuō ：“ shàng wǔ hǎo 。"
From 9 am to 12 am, we say, "Good morning(before noon)."
中午12点左右，我们问：“你吃了吗？”
zhōng wǔ shí èr diǎn zuǒ yòu ， wǒ men wèn ：“ nǐ chī le ma ？”
Around 12 noon, we ask, "Have you eaten yet?"
下午12点到6点，我们说：“下午好。”
xià wǔ shí èr  diǎn dào liù diǎn ， wǒ men shuō ：“ xià wǔ hǎo 。”
From 12pm to 6pm, we say, "Good afternoon."
天黑了，我们说：“晚上好。”
tiān hēi le ， wǒ men shuō ：“ wǎn shàng hǎo 。”
It is getting dark and we say, "Good evening."
要睡觉了，我们说：“晚安。”
yào shuì jiào le ， wǒ men shuō ：“ wǎn ān 。”
Going to bed, we say, "Good night."
