おはようございます。日本語だんだんポットキャストのゆかりです。

私は最近(さいきん)YouTubeの動画(どうが)をつくっています。

いま、日本ではなくて、トルコに住んでいます。

トルコの生活についての、動画をつくっています。

動画をつくることを、
"動画編集"(どうがへんしゅう)といいます。

動画編集には、時間がかかります。

そうですね、いまは1つの動画をつくるために、5時間以上かかります。

いや、もっとかかっているかもしれません。

でも、はじめたばかりのころは、もっと時間がかかっていました。

少しずつですが、だんだん、上手になってきました。
時間も短くなってきました。

なんでもそうですが、はじめたばかりのころは、時間がかかりますね。

そして、たくさんミスもします。

でも、そうやって、少しずつ上手くなっていけると、信じて続けています。

日本語も同じですね。

はじめたばかりときは、単語しかわかりません。

そして、少しずつ聞くことができるようになりますね。

今日勉強しても、明日すぐに上手になりません。
でも、少しずつ、成長しているはずです。

では、今日も最後まで聞いてくれて、だんだん、です。

また明日！

Ancient Egyptians loved and respected cats, believing they brought good luck.

Some families even dressed their cats in jewelry, and mummified them after death. They would mourn the death of their cat by shaving off their eyebrows, and continue to mourn until their eyebrows grew back.

Inspired by this ancient love for cats, the Shanghai Museum in China held a special event called Meowseum Nights.

Held 10 times during last summer and fall, the event invited 200 cats and 2,000 people to explore the exhibition On Top of the Pyramid: The Civilization of Ancient Egypt.

Some of the artifacts shown in the exhibition came from a temple discovered years ago in Egypt. The temple was for Bastet, an Egyptian goddess who could change into a cat. This gave the Shanghai Museum another reason to use cats as the theme for their event.

Museum director Chu Xiaobo said that the event was created to bring cat lovers to the museum, as in Shanghai, where there are over a million pet cats, cat-friendly public spaces are rare.

"There are dog parks, dog brunches, but not that much for cat parents to do with their pets," Wen Liuli, a visitor to the exhibition, told The Art Newspaper.

The museum took measures to keep all visitors and artifacts safe. Cats had to stay in strollers or bags, but there were certain areas where people could take their cats out for photos, such as in front of a statue of Bastet. All the other artifacts were kept behind glass.

The museum also had vets, doctors, and even an ambulance on-site, and over 80 animal welfare workers attended each night to help and give advice.

While the museum doesn't plan to hold another Meowseum Night, Chu hopes it might inspire other museums to try similar ideas.

"Cat people now have a special affection for the Shanghai Museum," he said.

Cats Take a Tour of Ancient Egypt at Chinese Museum

LA CIMA DE LAS COTORRAS, CHIAPAS. MÉXICO.

Lo primero que hay que saber antes de visitar la Sima de las Cotorras, en Chiapas, es que madrugar es un requisito obligatorio. Es necesario ganarle a la luz y adelantársele al instinto de los miles de pericos que, desde los primeros momentos del sol, están listos para dejar sus nidos por el día.

En el sur de México, a las afueras de la Reserva de la Biosfera Selva El Ocote, reinan los exuberantes paisajes en los que la vegetación es tan vasta que sale de todos lados, hasta del suelo. No obstante, entre todo el verde que hay se tienen que cuidar los pasos, pues no vaya a ser que uno se tope con una formación natural hecha de piedra calcácea que lleva el nombre de la Sima de las Cotorras. Se trata de un agujero inmenso que es hogar de miles de pericos verdes.

Un ecosistema único a 140 metros bajo tierra
Se cree que dicho orificio de 160 metros de diámetro se formó por miles de años de erosión, aunque otra teoría considera que pudo tratarse de una caverna cuyo techo se desplomó. Sea como haya sido, el resultado evolutivo de la Sima de las Cotorras es fascinante. En el suelo de este hoyo crecen una gran cantidad de orquídeas y árboles –poco comunes en la región– que alcanzan los 30 metros de alto, como los caobas.

Para poder contemplarlo todo sólo hay que esperar al amanecer. Es necesario llegar desde antes, cuando todavía no ha salido el sol; algunos viajeros llegan directo desde Tuxtla Gutiérrez –a 1:30 horas–, y otros optan por hospedarse en el hotel del sitio: una construcción de piedra con numerosas habitaciones que invita a salir a caminar por los alrededores y a hacer fogatas en el frío húmedo de la oscuridad.

El día del espectáculo es necesario hacer una pequeña caminata hasta los bordes de la sima –se recomienda llevar un buen suéter–. Cuando el cielo apenas se pinta de colores, se puede empezar a escuchar movimiento, piares inquietos. De repente, sale una cotorra. Después le sigue una pareja ...
