كَانْ يَامَا كَانْ في قدِيمْ الزَّمَانْ
وفِي قَرْيَة بعِيدَة، طرِيقْهَا شدِيدَة، الرُّكْبَان إِلاَ قَصْدُوهَا يَعْيَاوْ، وَإِلَا مَاقَصْدُوهَا يَتَمَنَّاوْ، حِيثْ الاخْبَار لِّي تَوْصَلْ علِيهَا والْخِير لِّي فِيهَا، مَاتْخَلِّي حَدّ في دَارُ.
كَانْ في هَاد الْقَرْيَة واحَدْ الدَّرَّازْ(النَّسَّاج) راجلْ طَيِّبْ، القلبْ بيضْ كِيفْ كْلَمْةُ، وكلَامُ صَافِي مَتْقُونْ كِيفْ خدمْةُ، في الصِّيفْ يَنْسَجْ الْحَيْكْ وَالْمْخَابَلْ(سَتَائر تقليديَّة)، والْبَرْدْ يَنْسج الجْلاَلبْ والدّرَابلْ(رِدَاء ثَقيل)، وَكانْتْ عَنْدُ بنْتُ، وبنْتُ كَانْتْ صُورَة لبُوهَا في اخْلاقهَا ومنَاقبْهَا، الأمْ دَّاهَا(أخَذَهَا) الله وخَلاَّ لِيهَا ابَّاهَا.
بَعْدمَا رْعَاهَا فِي صْغُرهَا هِي اصبْحَتْ ترْعَاهْ.. وَبَنْتُ كَانْتْ عَمْيَة مِنْ زْيَادتْهَا، لَكِنْ عمَى البَصَرْ ما خْدَا منْهَا الْبَصِيرَة.
وبَعْْدمَا كَانْ بُوهَا بصَحّتُو، يدْرَزْ ويَاخُذْ مَا درَز لِلسُّوق، دَابَا(الآن) خَانْتُو الصَّحَّة اصبَح لِّي دَرْزُو، تَاخْذُو بـنْـتُ لِلسُّوقْ.
حمَارتهَا كَانْتْ عَارْفَة الطّرِيق، غِيرْ تَسْمَعْ «أرَّازِيدْ» تْشَدّ طرِيقْهَا، وغِيرْ توْقَفْ تْعَرَفْ بنْتْ الدَّرَّازْ أنَّهَا وَصلَتْ للسُّوقْ
