How do you split your personality when speaking English?

It took me 9 years to understand it and over 20 thousand 1-1 sessions with my clients.

A personality split or a shifting sense of self – in the context of acquiring a new language. It’s not a true “split” in the clinical sense of dissociative identity disorder (formerly multiple personality disorder).

Wah, 3 bulan lagi kita akan sampai di akhir tahun. Yeay! Libur Natal dan Tahun Baru. Saya mau membeli hadiah Natal untuk ayah dan ibu saya. Kemarin, waktu saya mencari barang-barang menarik di internet, saya juga menemukan banyak barang abal-abal. Kalian tahu “barang abal-abal”? Artinya adalah produk kualitas murah, kualitas buruk, bisa juga palsu. “Palsu” di Bahasa Inggris adalah “fake”, di Bahasa Jepang adalah “偽物”. Ada banyak produk abal-abal di mana-mana. Hanya satu kali pakai langsung rusak, langsung tidak berfungsi dengan baik. Lebih baik membeli barang dengan harga sedikit mahal tapi punya kualitas baik daripada barang abal-abal. Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を楽しく勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

ぼくの日常生活の話を聞くことで、日本語のリスニングをよくしたり、新しい言葉を知ってもらえたらいいなと思います。


今日はイスタンブールでのアパートが変わる日、引越のような日でした。

Airbnbでは部屋を借りる時、約1か月(28日)だと割引があって安く借りれます。普通に家を借りるような手続きもいりません。

それで1か月ごとに部屋を変わります。

前日から荷物もまとめました。
毎日使っているものをカバンに入れ、最後の洗濯をして、ほとんど準備が終わった状態でねました。

朝はオンラインレッスンが1つあったので、それまでにほとんど準備を終わらせてレッスンをしました。

アパートを出る時、ホストは優しく見送ってくれました。
このエリアに住んでいるクロネコも見送ってくれました。
このネコは僕の奥さんのことが大好きで、毎日その道を通る時、歓迎してくれました。

新しいアパートには水上バスで移動します。
いつも水上バスに乗る時は2階の風が気持ちいい座席に座ります。でも今日は大きな荷物があるので、1階の座席に座りました。

1階では、30人ぐらいのお客さんが座っていました。

となりに座った7人家族は、テーブルでチャイを作り、パンを食べていました。20分ほどの移動時間ですが、家族で同じものを食べて時間を過ごすのはいいなと思いました。

その家族を見て、思い出しました。

ぼくの父はもう亡くなりましたが、ぼくが小さい時、旅行にはほとんどは行かなかったなぁと思いました。その分、何回か家族で出かけたことは記憶にあります。

その反動なのかわかりませんが、今ぼくはこうやって海外に出ています。

水上バスをおり、メトロで1駅移動し、少し歩いて新しい部屋に着きました。

ここは前の部屋よりも広いです。
外観は少し古く感じますが、中はきれいです。

ここで新しい生活がはじまると思うとワクワクします。
このエリアでもネコがたくさんいるので、また仲良くなれるネコを見つけたいなと思います。
