Start, Keep, Manage, Let: Lagna, Rehna, Paana, Dena With Verbs | Learn Hindi #261
Beschreibung
Some of the most common things we say at home are about how an action goes: the baby started crying, the kids kept playing, I couldn't make it yesterday, let me sleep. English uses separate verbs for these: start, keep, manage, let. Hindi does it by joining a main verb to four helpers you already know in other meanings: लगना (lagna), रहना (rehna), पाना (paana) and देना (dena).
In this episode:
• Lagna: suddenly started
• Rehna: keep on doing
• Paana: manage to, or couldn't manage
• Dena: let someone do it
• Jaane do, rehne do and chhodo
• One verb, four helpers
• Scene: a noisy evening
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
