The Flap Sounds R-ra and Rh-ra: Ladka, Padhna, Badha | Learn Hindi #175
Beschreibung
Some of the commonest Hindi words, such as boy, girl, big, a little and to study, contain a sound that is neither an r nor a d. Learners usually swap in one or the other, and the words come out slightly blurred. This episode teaches the two flap sounds, written ड़ and ढ़, shows how they differ from the plain r and the hard D, and gives you plenty of home sentences to practise.
In this episode:
• What a flap is
• Everyday words with ड़
• Everyday words with ढ़
• Flap, r and d side by side
• A scene at home
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
