Shopping in Malayalam — Shops, Markets and Getting Things Fixed | Learn Malayalam #338
Beschreibung
Shopping in Malayalam — the shops of a Kerala town, what each one is called, and the sentences that get things bought, stitched, cleaned and repaired without switching to English.
Kerala towns are built out of very small shops in a row, each doing one thing. Knowing which door to walk through is half the language.
I am Dr. Reshmi R. Nair, an applied linguist from Kerala. I have taught hundreds of learners to speak Malayalam as it is actually spoken.

THE PATTERN THAT UNLOCKS ALL OF IT
Verb + ആമോ (aamo) turns any verb into a polite request. Learn it once and you can ask for anything in any shop in Kerala.
Which shop would you walk into first? Tell me in the comments and I will give you the exact sentence.
