こんにちは！Atsushiです。
北海道に帰ってきました！
北海道は雨です。
気温は21℃です。
やっぱり涼しいですね！


今日は私が好きな食べ物について。
好きな飲み物は、よく話していますが、コーヒーが好きです。

好きな食べ物は、いろいろありますが、その中のひとつがそばです。

みなさんはそばを知っていますか？
食べたことがありますか？

そばは、英語だとbuckwheat といいますか？
そのままSobaとも言うかもしれません。

そばは、冷たいそばとあたたかいそばがあります。
私は冷たいそばの方が好きです。
そばは、そばつゆにつけて食べます。
ときどき、あたたかいつゆにつけて食べることもあります。

日本人は基本的にはすすって食べますね。すする、というのは説明は難しいですが、ズズズっと音をたてて食べることですね。

他の国の方はすすりませんね。ネットで調べてみると、すするのは日本だけと書いていました。もし、自分の国もすするよ！という人は教えてください！

日本ではなぜすするかというと、すすることで香りもしっかりと感じることができるからなどいくつか理由があります。
ある説では、江戸時代などに流行ったそばはどこでも食べれるようなファーストフードのようだったそうです。テーブルがないようなところでも食べていたので、器に自分の口を近づけてすすってズルズルと吸い込むようなすする食べ方が定着したのでは、と言われているようです。

当時、忙しい人たちは短い時間でそばをすすって食べ、次の仕事に行ったんですね。それをカッコいい、粋(いき)だ、coolだ、と流行ったのかもしれません。

今日は、好きなそばの食べ方について話しました。ぜひ次そばを食べる時はすすって食べてみてください！
